The book is a detailed account of the 1921 Moplah rebellion in North Kerala which saw forced conversion to Islam, mass murder of Hindus and destruction of Hindu temples. The book is written by noted historian and journalist Tirur Dinesh after twenty five years of research. In writing this book, the author has personally met both victims and also perpetrators of the riot and gained first hand information not found elsewhere. And also the role of Khilafat agitation and Islamic fundamentalism in shaping up the riots is also analysed in detail.
