Chellur Mahadeva temple is one of the Mahakshethra for Lord Shiva in Kerala. The temple is situated at a serene village in Malappuram Kerala. The temple is atleast a few thousand years old. The temple suffered destruction and damages during the invasion of Tipu Sultan. The temple is now managed by UgraNarasimha Charitable Trust.

Temple Timings

The temple is open daily from 6:30 AM – 11.00 AM in the morning and 5.00 PM – 7.00 PM in the evening.

Deity

The Presiding Deity is Lord Shiva . During the Devaprashnam held at the temple, it was mentioned that the Deity is very strict and rigorous in the expectations on the standards of worship and administration of the temple. However very benevolent towards devotees offering worship at the temple.
